i got these books from poverty aid for 3 pound each... and they've got some pretty amazing photographer and illustrators in them, making them great for inspiration..

Tim Ashton

uses photographic and digital techniques to create a surreal style of illustration.

Rowena Dugdale

one of my favourite illustrators in this book, she uses a unique mixture of darkroom, digital and mixed media to create these striking images. after looking at her work, ive decided to experiment with printing on my own paper, to see if i can get a similar style...

Johanna Fernihough

Johanna uses 2D and 3D props to create her illustrations, and also uses alot of on system manipulation and retouching.

Chris Nurse

he is a professional freelance multimedia artist who uses digital film, photography and computer manipulation to create his illustrations.

photograms

Heres some photograms i produced in the darkroom by putting objects on top of blank photo paper then exposing...

this process was so simple but very effective, im hoping to try it out with other objects...

I found this book useful because not only did it concentrate on one subject, it contained small areas of history, photographers, and alot of inspirational photographs (with a story behind the photo) so id recommend looking it up..
