Heres some of my first long exposure images that i experimented with using sparklers, a few friends, and general shots of my local area. i used a high ISO (between 1000 and 1600) and a 8 second shutter speed. one of the main problems i encountered was that because i got confused with the aperture numbers and meanings, i left the aperture itself too low, which let in too much light causing the street lamps to have a large glare on the images.
i hope to take more long exposure shots in future, but turn the aperture higher to reduce the glare.
Although ive tackled the problem of making clear images and getting the right focus on small scale images, i still have trouble producing large images because they come out dull and unsharp. with my next film i hope to try tackle this.
Heres my most recent film of pictures around town and the corn exchange which are my most successful yet. besides getting good lighting and using the settings on my camera correctly (without the aid of digital) i managed to tackle my problem with focus. next hope to find better subjects to suit since i feel im passing the experimental stage of getting used to my camera.
one of my main problems so far with my pictures is getting the focus correct, since as shown alot of my pictures are coming out blurred and out of focus. i hope to tackle this by getting glsses or concentrating more on the focus itself, in and out the dark room.
Heres some images i did whilst experimenting using my digital SLR settings, then setting my film camera to the same ones to see how similar the effects are and to also teach me to get used to creating my own settings that are effective.

After being asked to take pictures for a birthday party for a one year old, it turned out to have a hundred guests and to be a big celebration... since i took over 500 hundred photos.. i thought id choose a couple to play around with on photoshop....
I think i still need practice and learn some more basic skills but it was a fun start..
