light and darkroom experimentation

Heres a couple of images which i quickly experimented with before i researched methods of experimentation myself...

this image was from a pitch black room in the abandoned village of Headlingley, and i thought the curtains gave of a good creepy factor. firstly i took a long exposure image of 8 seconds with a tripod, then secondly i took the same image but used torches to illuminate the curtains.

when developed the first image came out too dark, and this one was not only more successful, but had a really good feel to it.

On this image i just edited it in the darkroom, whilst during mid exposure, i rotated the image slightly, which when processed gave this surreal look which was quite interesting.

Next i hope to research different experimental methods i can use, in and out the darkroom.
